Hi, and welcome to The Boatshed At Woronora website and blog.

Click on a window above to access other pages, or use the site map to the left. On these pages you will find information about the Boatshed itself, the local area, what you can do here and how much it all costs.

The business has been known variously as All Star Boats, the Star Boatshed and more recently The Woronora River Canoe Centre. Since our aim is to broaden the business into more than just a canoe hire shop, we have adopted a simpler name which reflects the way locals refer to it. If you are in the Woronora area or neighbouring suburbs, the building is simply “The Boatshed”. If you are further afield, you might separate this boatshed from, say, the one at Como or at Audley by refering to it as “The Boatshed at Woronora”. So that’s who we are.

A newsletter was published for the immediate residents and for visitors to the Boatshed, and this can be found on the Newsletters page. A new edition is due out shortly. Meanwhile check out the details of our canoe hire, kayak hire, motorboat hire, overnight accommodation and the cafe.

    Thanks for a wonderful day. Two hours paddling on such a peaceful stretch of river made us feel we had been away for a holiday. Our delicious lunch on the balcony topped off a perfect escape from life’s hectic pace. We look forward to our next visit.

    Thanks for taking time to leave a comment, Margaret, and I’m glad you enjoyed your visit to both the Woronora River and The Boatshed At Woronora. So many people go out as though they are in a dragon boat race rather than taking the time to enjoy the scenery and tranquility. Early morning and late afternoon high tides are best.

    Jon, the website looks pretty good and when I Googled “Woronora Boatshed” you came up in the first three places, so there’s no trouble anyone finding you. Eric

    Thanks for the feedback, Eric. However, Woronora Boatshed is a pretty specific search without much competition; what I need to do is rank higher for general searches like “canoe hire Sydney”, “accommodation south sydney” and “waterfront cafe south sydney” – bit more work required there :) – Jon
